The Bone and Joint Institute of South Georgia to Hold Open House & Ribbon Cutting

September 22, 2010 – JESUP, GA – The Bone & Joint Institute of South Georgia will hold an Open House and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Sunday, September 26th from 1:00-3:00 pm. This event is open to the public and will be held at their new 15,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility at 110 Professional Court, off Sunset Boulevard, in Jesup.

Formerly Kenerly Orthopaedic Center, the new location provides convenient, comprehensive orthopaedic services, featuring the only on-site Open MRI in 40 miles, x-ray services and an ambulatory surgery center with digital surgical suites designed exclusively for orthopaedic surgeries.

“We excited to celebrate the Open House and Ribbon Cutting for our new facility, and for opportunity to show our gratitude to our patients and the whole community for their continued support,” said Dr. J Lex Kenerly III.

Kenerly has been serving ten Southeast Georgia counties for over 22 years, with offices in Jesup & Baxley. The new Bone & Joint Institute of South Georgia, featuring even more on-site services, gives patients even better, more comprehensive care in one facility convenient to all ten counties.

Kenerly, a Jesup native, has practiced orthopaedic surgery in the region for more than 22 years. He specializes in sports medicine, total joint replacement of the hip, knee, and shoulder. Kenerly is a graduate of Wayne Country High School, The University of Georgia, and the Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine. After medical school, he completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at the Greenville Hospital System and Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children in Greenville, South Carolina, and returned to his hometown to open his current practice.
